Ivan's Story: 

Ivan feels very tired and run down. He is worried a lot. Sometimes he can't get out of bed or leave his house because he is nervous. Ivan moved to the United States recently and only speaks a little English, so he is scared to call the doctor. 


Ivan's problems: 

  • Depressed
  • Exhausted
  • Anxious
  • Doesn't speak English 

Ivan should:

  • Talk to friends and family 
  • Make new friends 
  • Go outside and exercise 
  • Rest and relax
  • Call a doctor or clinic to get help
  • Find a community and speak his language 
  • Call a helpline if he needs to talk to someone
  • Get a pet 

Who can help Ivan: 

  • Doctor and psychologist

  • Friends and family 
  • Supervisor and co-workers 
  • Neighbors
  • Caseworker 

Questions Ivan should ask:

  • For his doctor--Should I take medication? 
  • For his friends--Can you come over? Can you help me make appointments?
  • For his supervisor--Can I work less?

  1. Oh wow!!
    this is a hard topic because to many people is scared to talk about this symptoms, particularly ithe chemistry n my brain dony works as it should so i happens this very often, and i need take some medications and find options to get better.

    i suggest to Ivan, talk with family and friends and find some therapy with a counselor, try to get mores rest sleeping better, what helps to me to sleep better and without need prescription is melatonin ad drink some relaxing teas before go at bed, workout helps to much too besides help with you self-stem, in downtown are a nice gym, is behind work city restaurant oh and by the way after gym he could to eat something there, them food is good :)
